Maintain Your Newly Refinished Tub: Tips from T & B Bathtub Refinishing and Repairs
Your tub has just been resurfaced with the finest product in tub and tile resurfacing used today ShurBond®.
To maintain the high gloss of your surface:
Always remove excess water and clean and dry the tub after each use.
Be sure faucets are tightly closed and the shower pipe is drained after each use.
Do not rest soap, bottles, spray cans, or wet clothes on the surface for long periods.
Cleaning:
Even though the tub may look clean, it should be cleaned with a liquid cleaner after every use.
Use a liquid cleaner such as Mr. Clean, Spray Fantastik, Lysol Tub & Tile Cleaner, Liquid Spic & Span, Liquid Ajax, or Formula 409.
NEVER USE abrasive cleaners such as Ajax or Comet to clean the tub. Even Soft Scrub is mildly abrasive.
Bath Mats:
If you find the surface too slippery, use a non-stick suction-type mat. Do not use conventional suction cup bathmats, stick-on flowers, or strips.
Remove Bath Mat After Each Use. Do Not Hang Mat Over The Tub. Roll Mat Up and Put It Away.
If you treat your new surface with respect, clean it, and keep the taps dry, your tub will stay shiny and bright for many years.
